I just saw the most disturbing opening sequence ever. It's too hard to explain, but trust me when I say that the choice of animation (involving food arranged on a plate moving into different shapes) is the weirdest thing I've ever seen. Guess it makes sense, though, when you consider that it's the "Honey & Clover" (based on the manga by the same name--available as a scanlation from ShoujoMagic) anime, and it's produced by Gainax. =P
In other random reflections on fansubs, I'm very much enjoying Gakuen Alice (Naisho) and Tsubasa Chronicles (lots of groups are doing it, but I'm watching the Dattebayo/Live-Evil version). Gakuen Alice has the blend of zaniness and warmth/sweetness that I enjoyed in Kodocha (Mikan actually looks a bit like Sana, too!). For Tsubasa, I'm pleased with the fact that the story isn't exactly the same as the manga, which makes it a lot more interesting. ^_^
Ah, wonderful, wonderful fansubs!! I don't know what I'd do without them!
