A bunch of us from high school got together today at Jack Darling park for a little potluck get together, and it was pretty fun and relaxing. Unfortunately I didn't count on the wind from the lake, so even with my jacket I was kind of cold, but it was still good. I came with my "nephews" Jon and Eric, so we were pretty late--it was supposed to go from 4:30-8:00pm, we got there around 7:30pm--but everyone was still there, so it was all good.
We left the park shortly after eight and (most of us) adjourned to a nearby pub for warmth, alcohol, and more food. =P I'm quite proud of myself, actually, because I shared a pitcher of Blue with the guys. And by shared, I mean I nursed half a glass while the other three cleaned everything up. Actually, they had another pitcher, but I was quite content with my half glass.
So yeah, I didn't talk a whole lot (as usual) but it was just good to see everyone again and to hang out. Hopefully we'll have another get together sometime this summer. ^_^
