This is a very similar post to my RHF post, but I just couldn't resist! So we (me, my parents, Nate, one of Nate's friends and Don and Kie) went out for dinner tonight to celebrate Nate's birthday. Kie suggested the Muddy Duck, since she had a coupon for a free entrée, and she'd been there before and liked it.
And a good thing she suggested it too! It's my new favourite restaurant! Good food, friendly service, and the most excellent taste in hockey players!
I wonder if someone in the place is a Kaberle fan? Or if Kaberle was the name they just picked as sounding the closest to a German name (since schnitzel is German)? Regardless, they've earned a customer for life with their impressive ability to appreciate Kaberle! ^______^ Next year I'm definitely going there at least once during the playoffs--wearing my Kaberle jersey, of course!! Who knows, I might even try drinking some of the Steam Whistle too! =P
So yes, today was a most excellent day. It's funny how such small things make me so very happy. And if you're wondering, yes, I did actually ask to take the insert (it was in one of those little stand things on the table) home--I'm such a nerd!
