Well, I made it through my first two exams! Woohoo! I won't say that I came through them very well, but they're done, and that's all that matters!!
I seriously think my Japanese history professor didn't bother to read my paper. It wasn't very good, but I got an 80% on it somehow anyway. The fact that my mark was written in pencil on the cover page, with not a comment on the paper really supports my theory. Still, I'm not complaining. I mean, maybe if I felt like I deserved an 80 and got a 60 I'd complain, but if he wants to give me more than I deserve...well, that's grace right?
Another miracle was that my crazy 3 hour Tale of Genji essay actually got 35/40!!! That means I have a shot at getting 90%, depending on my participation mark!!! THANK YOU GOD! You know, I went through most of my life wondering if God still did miracles, and I've got to say, I've definitely experienced my share of "minor" miracles this year! It's amazing. By rights I should probably be in the 60 range for marks this year--it's been that bad. So yeah, I'm pretty happy right now!
