April's Coming!

Thank goodness it's almost April!! April means the end of school, GST rebate, income tax refund, my birthday, and the start of the PLAYOFFS!!!!! I'm so excited! I really hope Colorado has a game on the 23rd so I can watch it after fellowship!! If the Leafs have a game that night, though, sad to say, I'd be highly tempted to ditch fellowship in favour of the game. ^^;; I just hope this year isn't anything like last year. My birthday present (very shortly after 12am on the day off) last year was Minnesota beating the Avs and knocking them out of the playoffs. I remember that I actually cried that night/day, and thinking about it still makes me sad. =*(

Anyway, after all the doom and gloom of my recent posts (talking about all the essays I have, my first late essay, etc. etc.), I figured I should post something a bit happier. Well, happier for me anyway. =P I always love thinking about all the ways I can spend money, so, here is yet another wishlist! In no particular order:

- WALLET: My old one is really quite dead. ^^;; I need to learn to carry less. All the cards that I carry around literally split one of the seams of my poor wallet! I can barely close the thing, too.

- SMALL-MID-SIZE BAG: The Gap bag Jen got me a couple years back is starting to show the wear. One corner has worn away and some plastic stuff sticks out. ^^;; It's too bad, because it's really the perfect size.

- NHL 2004, JOE SAKIC COVER!!! Best Buy's selling the PS2 version for something like $39.99!! So tempting, except I don't have a PS2 to call my own, of course. But Nate should be back for good soon, so that's not such a big problem. Anyway, I should probably wait until next year, when it'll be reduced to like $20 or something.

- WESTERN CONFERENCE JOE SAKIC ALL-STAR JERSEY: Yup, this is probably #1 on my tax refund purchase list. All I have to decide is whether I'd rather have an adult small or youth L/XL.

- TEAM CZECH YOUTH L JERSEY: #2 on my tax refund to-buy list. Unfortunately the only place I know that has it is River City Sports, and they're darn expensive, but I really want it, so I'm going to bite the bullet and do it probably!

- TEAM SWEDEN YOUTH L JERSEY: #3 on the aforementioned list, and unfortunately from River City Sports as well. ^^;; I really wanted to buy both international jerseys together, to hopefully save on the shipping, but I dont think my tax return is going to stretch that far, considering I need to replenish my savings accounts after the excesses of January/February. @_@

- COLORADO THIRD JERSEY: I'm not particularly fond of the design, but I want to have all of their jerseys, so... Unfortunately they show up only rarely on eBay, and once in a blue moon sized adult small, never mind youth L/XL, so I'm probably going to have to wait until I'm willing to pay full price on it. *sigh*

- BAP ALL-STAR GAME COLORADO AVALANCHE TEAM SET (CARDS): I was going to buy these in February, but I took a look at the Visa charges I'd already racked up, and thankfully refrained.

- BAP ALL-STAR GAME TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS TEAM SET (CARDS): Same story, except I didn't/don't want this set quite as badly as I do the Avs one.

- SPORTS NIGHT DVD BOX: *sigh* I've been wanting this forever, except now I don't know if I'm going to be able to find it. I didn't see it at Futureshop the other night when I went. =( Maybe there'll still be a copy in a Blockbuster's somewhere? I used to see them there too.

- NET WORTH DVD: This is more of a whimsy than anything else. I saw it at the HHOF and I figured I should buy it eventually just to increase the size of my hockey movie collection, which is currently limited to Slapshot 1 & 2 on dvd, and The Mighty Ducks 1 & 2 on tape. Speaking of which...

- MIGHTY DUCKS DVD SET: All three movies for only $27.99 at Best Buy!! Less than $10 a movie sounds pretty good to me! ^_^

- MYSTERY, ALASKA DVD: Again, just to improve my hockey movie collection.

- EL-HAZARD (THE MAGNIFICENT WORLD) OVA BOX SET: I really loved this series, and the box set has been out FOREVER, but I've never gotten around to picking it up. ^^;;

- PARKHURST JOSEPH/SUNDIN/KABERLE TRIPLE JERSEY CARD: This one's been eluding me for a while!! It's tough to get for the "right" price on eBay because I have to compete with Sundin/Leafs fans, which is not the usual case when I'm going to just Kaberle cards.

- KABERLE TIMELESS JERSEY: Either the magnet or the hanging one. *shrug* I know it's pretty useless, but it's Kaberle, and you know I just want anything Kaberle related!!

- RUROUNI KENSHIN COMPLETE LIMITED CD COLLECTION: They have it listed as a special order or something on Amazon.ca, for only $500-something. @_@ Whatever happened to my "expensive anime" fund? I don't know. Guess I should start it up again if I ever want to be able to afford the set!!

- LEAFS SEASON TICKETS: Yeah right...I'd have to win the lottery or marry someone rich for this one to happen. But hey, it's my wishlist, so what's wrong with a little wishful thinking?

- NHL CENTRE ICE (FOR NEXT YEAR): This one is also highly unlikely to happen. Even though I thought about saving up to pay for it myself, I doubt my parents would let me get it after my horrible marks this year. It's not entirely fair to blame the hockey (I would've found other ways to procrastinate anyway) but, like Alan said, my parents can only control what they see; they can't do anything about my lack of desire to work hard this year.

Phew....That's an incredibly long list, and I could probably add more to it if I thought a bit more... =P But yes, I think the next list will be a list of blessings!!! I don't want to be focusing on what I don't have when God has given me so much!!
