Yes, today was my ultimate blonde day, and all of my blonde moments were centred around the Go Transit. =P This morning I was supposed to take the 8:20am train. So I get to the station with about seven minutes to spare--no problem, or so I think. I dig into my pocket to get my ticket to punch, and it's not there. I was 87% sure I had put it there before going out of the house, but maybe I dropped it, so I got outside and retrace my steps. Nothing. I look into the front pocket of my backpack (where I usually keep it) as well, even though I'm sure I took it out. Also not there. So I call Steph back and check the van for it. Not there. Just when I complete my search, the train comes, so of course there's no way I can catch it. If it's not in my pocket, in the front pocket of my backpack, or in the van, so I must've dropped it on my way out or something. We drive back. I put my bag(s) down on the seat, turn back to close the van door and THERE IT IS!! Right in the mesh side pocket of my bag!! I've never put it there before. The only thing I can think of is that I must've taken it out of my pocket in preparation of leaving the car, and then unconsciously stuck it into the side pocket since I was holding the bag in my lap. How embarrassing. Luckily I wasn't in any sort of rush to get to school, and neither was Steph.
Then this afternoon, my dad was in a meeting and my mom needed to wait to talk to her boss, so I took the 4:30pm train home by myself. I stayed awake until about Kipling, reading, but then I got tired and dozed off. Now I'm usually pretty good with my timing, or I'm smart enough to set my cellphone alarm if I know I'm dead tired and am afraid of oversleeping, but today I was neither. I woke up just as the last call for Erindale came on and the doors closed. @_@ So I ended up getting off at Streetsville. Luckily when I arrived the bus going from Streetsville to Union had just arrived as well, and I asked the bus driver if the bus was going to stop at Erindale and I explained that I was supposed to get off at Erindale and had missed my stop. The bus driver was really nice. I was prepared to pay for my fare, but he just said it was fine for him to drop me off, since the bus was supposed to stop at the corner of Erindale anyway. ^_^ Thank goodness for that, since Steph wasn't going to be home early today and I didn't want to drag her away from her lab partners just to pick me up from Streetsville, and I didn't want to have to wait for the Mississauga transit either, because who knew how long that could take.
Anyway, my only excuse for today was the fact that I was drugged. =P Okay, so I only took one Tylenol Daytime Cold pill this morning, but I'm sure you can understand that I wasn't totally with it today, being sick and all. =P
