U of T shut down at 5pm today due to the snow storm. It's quite an impressive one, actually, the wind is really strong and even though it's powdery snow, there's LOTS of it. When my dad and I came back, there was more than a foot of it to shovel. Actually, in some places it was more like three feet thanks to the wind creating snow drifts. It doesn't help that we live right across from the park, so a lot of snow gets blown onto our driveway as well. So yes, shoveling was quite the chore. Several times the snow I dumped from my shovel blew right back into my face! At least my dad was out there with me (unlike the last two or three times I've shoveled), though, as it made the taks go a lot quicker. I don't actually mind shoveling, except for the fact that my fingers freeze after like five minutes out there. I wonder if those hand warmer things would be effective while shoveling?
Anyway, I've digressed a bit. What I'm hopeful about is that tomorrow the university will be shut down! According to the forecasts, there's "no end in sight" to the snow, so I'm hoping I can get a day off of class!!
In other news, Kei is back! ^_^ She shut down her blog for a while, but has decided to continue with it now as a means of venting, etc. Welcome back, Kei!
What else? Oh yes, I got the entire Gasaraki boxset (8 discs plus the box) for only $29.99 US!! Including shipping, conversion, and the customs I had to pay when it arrived, it still ended up as just under $60!! Thank you RightStuf! I believe the sale is still on, so now's the time to buy it!! ^_^ I love getting a deal! Too bad I don't foresee having time to watch it for a while. I mean, I still have to watch 6/7 discs of Noir, the Black Rose Saga of Utena, Millennium Actress, Blue Seed Beyond, discs five and six of Chobits, Love Hina Again and the Spring Movie, and the second Fushigi Yuugi OVA series. @_@ It's kind of sad when your buying outpaces your ability to watch a series. ^^;; Ah well. If *crosses fingers* school is cancelled tomorrow, I'm going to watch Millennium Actress at the very least!
