On Wednesday my mom bought me a new wool jacket. It's almost perfect: mid-thigh length, hood, and zippered (not buttons). The only thing is that it's black, which is still good because black is very formal and classic, but I really wanted a burgundy one (which I've never seen before anywhere). Anyway, I do love my jacket--especially since it was more than 50% off, plus an additional 7% off as a no GST special--but after one day of wearing it, I've discovered how dangerous wool jackets can be.
Maybe it's because I have this habit of sliding out of cars, but basically everytime I've gotten out of the car wearing the jacket I've shocked myself closing the door or another part of the car. @_@ And this aren't little shocks either, you can really hear (and I feel) them!!
My mom was saying it's pretty dangerous for when I'm fuelling up, which is something I hadn't considered. That would be a pretty pathetic way to start a gasoline fire, don't you tihnk? Excessive static electricity starts fire at gas station. How embarrassing, not to mention painful. @_@
Back to the static problem though, it really doesn't help that I have long hair. I've been wanting to cut it for a while now, so maybe this is the incentive I need: less hair, less static!
