Thank goodness! I only got one essay returned (today) before the Christmas break, and thankfully it received a good mark! Phew! If I hadn't done well on that, it might've marred my happiness at being done for the term!
It was my Japanese Poetry and Fiction essay that I got back, and I've got to admit, I'm quite proud that I managed to pull off a 90 on it!! So, even without counting participation, I've already got 81.5% in the course!! Woo hoo!! This might be my one and only A this year, so I'm savouring it.
Actually, that class was probably the best thing about the school year so far. The work load was reasonable; I enjoyed the readings; and for the most part the discussions weren't above my head (like in English ^^;;). Plus our prof told us that this is the last time she'll be teaching the course--she's taking off first term next year for research, and then she's taking an early retirement the following year--so I'm extra grateful that I was able to get into the course!
Anyway, things are looking pretty good right now that I'm almost done for the term! Now the only thing I have to worry about is working enough hours to cover my gi-normous Visa bill. ^^;;
