Well, I did it. I said that I wouldn't, but I did anyway. They were accepting credit cards, so I got the Hikaru no Go illustrations book! In a way, I was lucky that it was so expensive! Just as I had decided to buy it, this guy picked it up! He looked at me, and was like, did you want this? Then before I answered, he turned the book over, checked the price, and just gave it to me! Of course it was unfortunate for my wallet, but you can't have your cake and eat it too, right?
So yeah, I have the HnG artbook. I also gave in and bought a fanart print. *guilt guilt* It was just too good to pass up though! It had the Final Fantasy VII guys playing strip poker. Cloud was down to his boxers but everyone else was fully dressed, so they were all laughing at him and flashing the "L" sign at him. The facial expressions were amazing! Other than that I also bought a comic book from one of my friend's friends. It was pretty well done, and it was only $2, so it was worth it.
I started slacking off on the panel work I was supposed to be doing after about four or five in the afternoon though. ^^;; It's not an excuse, I know, but I was kind of frustrated that it seemed like I was the only one checking up on the panels! I got asked if I would consider taking on a bigger role with the panels for AN next year, and even though I didn't improve to the point of saying "no", at least I did give the non-commital response of "I'll think about it". Even though this year was more fun (I spent quite a bit of time talking with a fun guy named German--edit, sorry about the wrong spelling!), I'm still not really into this whole convention thing, and I'm pretty sure I would resent doing the work. *sigh* Must learn to say no!
