Well, I accidentally went over my weekly transfer limit on Sunday (I'm in res) so my internet was cut off for Monday. I wasn't very happy about that, but it turned out to be a good thing since I had to prepare for my term test (tomorrow) and I probably would've had a hard time keeping focused if I was able to go on the internet. =Þ As it is, I don't think I'm as prepared as I was for the first one, but hopefully I'll be lucky in the choice of essay questions.
I've been overloading on the manga scanlations, I gotta admit. Along with some more HnG translations (not as well done as Toriyama World's, but I couldn't wait), I started on Hanazakari no Kimitachi e (a.k.a. For You in Full Blossom, Hanakimi) by Nakajo Hisaya. It's such an awesome series!! ^_^ It's also 19 volumes and ongoing, most of which have been scanlated, so it was probably downloading all of that which pushed me over the edge. Actually, I would've been fine except that earlier in the week, before HanaKimi, I used BitTorrent to get an episode of Piano, which took up probably more than half of my transfer limit, but I digress.
So yeah, I love Hanakimi, and I'm probably going to get the manga, since 1-19 is very reasonably priced at $47US (plus ~$35US s/h, which is crazy, but it's Japan, so what can you do). ^_^ I'ts almost half the cost of HnG! Tax return, oh tax return, come to me!! I feel a bit bad, putting off confirming to the person that I'm going to buy it, but I don't like the concept of spending on credit that much, strange as it may seem. Yes, my credit card is well worn, but generally I refrain from using it when I don't have the cash to pay for the purchases immediately available in my bank account.
Anyway, I'm kind of jumping all over here. The point is, even though I download tons of manga, there are only a few that would make me immediately start looking to buy it, and Hanakimi is one of them. ^_^ Hmm...Talking about it really makes me want to throw caution to the winds and to just order the set! =Þ Must resist...
Still haven't finished watching HnG. For some reason, I can more easily justify spending hours downloading and reading manga than I can spending an hour or so watching anime.
Speaking of anime, my mom told me that for my birthday I can finally pick up the Fushigi Yuugi OVA set and she'll pay for it! Woohoo! My FY collection will be complete at last! Well, I still have all the manga to go, but that's another story. Stupid Viz, switching the manga size and format midway... I only bought a couple of volumes of FY, so maybe I'll auction them off or donate them to Utarpa and start again from the beginning.
Well, I think that's enough rambling for today! Wish me luck on my term test!
