Well, I don't know how it is for everyone else when they go off to university, but for me, there hasn't been a lot of variety in my diet (and this is my second year in res, no less)! As an extreme example, for breakfast yesterday I had a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios. That's fine, I always have cereal for breakfast. Then for lunch, I had another bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios. Guess what I had for dinner. You're wrong! I had two bowls of Honey Nut Cheerios! =P
Exciting, isn't it? Such is the life of a lazy university student. (^^;) I suppose I should be feeling ashamed of myself for being so lazy and neglecting proper nutrition, but I'm rather impressed at my capacity to eat the same things several times over. If you count my breakfast this morning, which was again Honey Nut Cheerios, that's five identical meals in a row! I would imagine most people would get fed up after eating the same thing two or three times, forget five.
Actually, if I hadn't had a bowl of Clam Chowder for lunch, I could've had six or seven straight meals of Honey Nut Cheerios, since I had Cheerios again for an early dinner. (^_~)
