Well, I got a parcel delivery notice today, so I think I should be getting my Fruits Basket manga tomorrow!! ^_^ I'm so excited!! My next major anime purchase (still behind my hockey jerseys in priority, though) is going to Hikaru no Go manga! I think there are about twenty volumes out now, and I've only read up to volume 17, from the scanlations at Toriyama World. The last few volumes that I read were so touching! I was getting all teary-eyed. I want the anime too. I've been looking for fansub distros that carry it, but it's hard, thanks to digisubbing.
I mean, I can find tons of places that offer vcds/cds and even vhs copies of the fansubs, but it's really difficult to find a place that conforms to the proper fansubbing ethic. By that I mean that it's hard to find a place that only distributes unlicensed fansubs and which doesn't distribute the fansubs for profit. So far I've found one place that might be okay, but $7 for the first disc and $5 (all USD) for subsequent ones sounds a bit sketchy, even if the guy claims that the profits go towards replacing worn out burners, and other fansub distro related equipment.
But anyway, I don't know when I'll get around to buying either the HnG manga or anime, because I've already committed to getting my two hockey jerseys, PLUS I have to save for my mission trip now. I think I've only got three to four hundred in my savings account, and that's not very much. Ah well, I won't die without HnG. I mean, I'm going to be getting tons of new anime/manga stuff shortly (March is death month for my wallet--Noir, .//hackSIGN, Chobits, &c.), so it's not like I'm going to be completely anime/manga deprived. HnG is SO good though...
