The best anime dvds ever, in my opinion, are the Fruits Basket dvds!! Not only does each disc contain SIX episodes, but the extras are great too: interviews, specials, an eyecatch gallery with commentary!! All for the amazing price of $40 too!! What value! Since I can't find an email address for Funimation, I'm even thinking about sending them a letter just to rave about how much I love the Fruits Basket dvds!
And the series itself is wonderful too. I was hooked after the first episode, raving after the first disc (six eps), and now, after the second disc (up to ep twelve) I'm totally enamored of the series! Yup, Fruits Basket is right up there with Rurouni Kenshin, Kodomo no Omocha, Hana Yori Dango, and Marmalade Boy now! If that doesn't sound like an achievement, just think, Fushigi Yuugi was one of my first favourite series, but I don't even count it among my all-time favourites!
Oh, and speaking of Fruits Basket, I know I said I was going to ban myself from eBay this term, but well, I just won the Fruits Basket manga volumes 1-10 for $40 today, so obviously I haven't done so yet. I'm not ashamed of myself though, because even though it's not the cheapest price, it's a pretty good price, and I didn't have to spend a lot of time looking for it. =P
