Well, our suite's Chinese New Year house event was very successful! Everyone loved the food, and we managed to finish a lot of it off! Except that we had a full pot of stick rice left over. ^^;; But that's because we cooked a lot, not because people didn't eat it.
My loh baak goh (I think I'm spelling it differently every time =P) went over extremely well! Got three specific compliments on it--like "this is so good", and "I love this" and not just general "the food is great guys" type comments!! ^_^ Ah, all those hours (5? 7? 8?!?) feel so worth it now! I don't think I'm going to want to cook it again anytime soon though. @_@ Steaming those things took forever.
Anyway, this is totally unrelated to any of that, but did I mention I've been entering art contests on the pOnju forum recently? Well, I have been, although usually I go for concept more than the art, because I know there's no way I can compete with some of the artists who enter. They're crazy good.
