Well, I've always thought that I have a pretty good brother, and his Christmas trip to Vancouver just provided more evidence that I'm right to think so. See, before he went to Vancouver I gave him a list of stuff that I wanted from Sakura Media (my favourite online anime store, which also happens to be Canadian, with retail locations in Vancouver) as well as money to buy it with. So his plane left at 9:30am Saturday morning, and Saturday night at around 7:15pm (EST) he called to make sure that the manga that I wanted was supposed to be in Japanese! I totally wasn't expecting him to go out to buy my stuff on the day he arrived in Vancouver!
So now I have 18 out of 28 volumes of Rurouni Kenshin, and both of the Legend of Basara artbooks! Since my stuff was so heavy he had to check his luggage on the plane ride back, rather than taking it as a carry-on the way he did on the way there. =Þ Another amusing thing is that the store actually gave him a free Love Hina Shinobu figure and two mini two-inch bust things (I have no idea what or who they are, and they're really quite ugly, but it's the thought that counts, I guess) as well because he spent so much money! ^_^
What a nice brother! Too bad he didn't have a chance to look for Joe Sakic Way...I really want a picture of the street sign! But that's okay. I know people who live in Vancouver, so hopefully they won't mind snapping a shot of the street sign (if it's still there) for me! Now I really have to study my Japanese so I can eventually read all of my Kenshin manga!!
