I had a really fun time carving our suite's pumpkin tonight. Well, technically I didn't carve it, but I did make and draw on the pumpkin the design, so I contributed in that manner. It turned out really well!
We went with a "Nightmare Before Christmas" theme--shoutout goes to Asakyu/Kanshou, whose blog layout was my source of inspiration--and it was perfect because the design was so simple yet attractive. ^_^ On one side we had a picture of Oogie Boogie (whose name I couldn't remember and had to look up just now; I was calling him "Boo" all night), and on the other, Jack. Then in between those two I wrote "I AM THE PUMPKIN KING." Okay, so that might've been a bit much, but I just loved that line too much to resist!! Oh, and on the top/lid I wrote "The Nightmare," short for "The Nightmare Before Christmas," of course.
Anyway, I don't think we'll win the competition because there are too many great pumpkins--one suite carved a picture of Worf and wrote "It's a good day to die" on the lid/top!--but I'm still really proud of it. Plus, it was a great suite bonding thing. I designed and drew the pictures, and everyone else carved. We did it in just under an hour too! So yeah, it was a lot of fun!
