Actually, the entire relevant quote goes something like this: "What a wonderful way to be awakened, enter a fair of fire lizards singing!" And that's from Anne McCaffrey's "Dragonsinger"--probably my favourite book of all time! Since I first read it in grade five or six, I've read it at least twenty times by now! Yup, just love that book. You should definitely check it out--oh, but first read "Dragonsong," the first book in the series.
Anyway, my point was that the type of joy and beauty first thing in the morning that the quote speaks of (re: the "fair of fire lizards singing") is the type of feelings I had this morning! Since I was waiting my turn for the shower, I decided to check my email, and found a message from a friend.That message directed me to her blog, which I read, and it just brightened my morning. ^_^
After replying to her email, as I was taking my shower, the quote just popped into my head and I knew that I would have to write about it! I'm never my best in the mornings, but talking to a happy friend sure goes a long way to making a morning enjoyable! Thanks so much, L.! ^_^
My apologies if people are totally confused. Like I said, I'm not a morning person, so I happily blame any incoherence on the fact that it's still too early for me to be blogging! =P Anything earlier than noon is not my time!
