Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! There are too many great, limited edition prints of players that I want! Whoops, that was kind of ambiguous, I mean that there are too many prints that I want, not that there are too many prints--the opposite is true, in fact, because they're limited to 500 each!!
Anyway, a while ago I was looking through the links on the NHLPA website, and found this link to Nextwave Collectibles, which makes some really nice NHL player prints!! Man, this is what I get for liking too many players!! Currently Sakic, Yzerman, and Joseph (Maple Leafs version) prints are available, and come Augest, Francis, and Roy prints will be out as well! I've found them at the Hockey Hall of Fame store for only $150, and I get a 15% discount as a Legends Club member, but I don't exactly have that much money to throw around, considering that this has been and is a big anime summer as well.
Darn! Several people (my parents, one of my best friends) have told me that I really shouldn't start liking anything else because then I'll be totally broke, and I agree completely! It's an awful habit that when I get into something, not only do my mind and heart become engaged, but my wallet does as well!!
Well, the good thing about my wanting all of these prints (on top of my anime stuff) is that it's encouraged me to stop going on eBay, because I'd rather save my money for big purchases rather than small ones. Besides, I've already gotten at least one auto'd photo of each of my favourite players (except for Joesph because I'm not sure if he's still a favourite now that he's a Wing), and two of Sakic (plus the poster that I had plaqued) so buying more would be getting a bit excessive.
Oh, other than the HHOF, the prints are also available at Sports Obsession #303 in Hamilton (905-383-2915), and Men Are From Mars in Toronto (416-487-2451). HINT HINT It's not too early to start thinking about Christmas! HINT HINT! Whoops, guess I shouldn't say that, it makes me sound pretty greedy/mercenary, especially since I mentioned Christmas; Christmas really isn't just about presents. ^^;; It's funny, but I first saw these, on the site, quite a few weeks ago, but I didn't start to REALLY want them until this week. I must be going a little mad from the lack of hockey...
Edit: 6:15pm: My Sakic baseball cap arrived today!!! =D I think I look kind of goofy in ballcaps, but I'll wear this one because it's SAKIC! ^_^
