Well, I'm late again. ^^;; This is an entry about Saturday, June 22nd, even though it's being posted on Sunday, June 23rd. Ah well, at least I didn't skip it entirely.
Anyway, today I was watching the softball games for my church league. It was fun! Lots of amusing moments! I'm the unofficial scorekeeper, but I had a hard time readjusting to counting runs. It would be so much easier if a red light started flashing everytime someone crossed the homebase line. =Þ People were asking me about some softball rules too, and I was like: "um...I dunno?" Apparently I can't have the rules for two sports, hockey and softball in my mind, because one (softball) will just get all muddled up.
I also played lacrosse with my friend while we were at the diamond. Not really lacrosse, but catch using lacrosse sticks and a lacrosse ball. I'm quite bad, actually. My throwing is not horrible, my pick-ups work sometimes, my cradlings iffy, and I can't catch! The handful of times that I managed to catch the ball, I think it was more luck than any sort of skill. This is why I'm a sports spectator, and not a player! ^_~
Speaking of sports, I actually finished two Sakic wallpapers! One I did early this morning (around 3am?) and the other, this evening, after softball. They're not the most stunning works the world has ever seen, but for first efforts, they're not bad. ^_^ I have the second one set as the background for my desktop right now. Ah, I wish summer was over so hockey could start again!
At any rate, I taped some NHL highlights show or something today, as well as the draft. Hopefully I'll get a chance to watch it all this weekend. I know the draft'll probably be boring, but I want to know how it works, so I thought maybe watching it happen would help a bit. Anyway, when I see the word NHL on the TV guide, I just program the VCR automatically. =Þ
Anyway, I've got an early breakfast appointment with a friend tomorrow morn, so I'm off to sleep!! ^_^
