Woohoo! I just got volume number six of the Cardcaptor Sakura graphic novel! ^_^ It's such a great series: gorgeous art (would expect any less from Clamp?), likeable characters, and a lighthearted (unlike X/1999, for example) but not totally fluffy storyline. Yue (redundantly spelled as "Yueh" by Tokyopop) finally makes his appearance in this one!! Hooray for bishies, especially ones with wings! ^_~
Reading the manga kind of makes me want to go out and buy the DVDs (uncut and subtitled, of course) as well, but, unfortunately, I don't think that I can work that into my budget right now. ^^;; It's the age old problem of too much anime, not enough money. I mean, it's not only the number of different titles that I want to get, but also the varied media: artbooks, books, CDs, DVDs, figures, manga, and all sorts of miscellanea. Well, CDs tend to be at the bottom of my priority list, since imports are so expensive, but manga and DVDs especially are difficult. Tokyopop is releasing a whole shebang of new titles that I "must" have, and that's on top of my "regulars," and even though I've almost finished with the Ceres DVDs (thank goodness) Princess Nine'll still be coming out for a while, and there's Kare Kano upcoming, not to mention boxsets for Evangelion and Escaflowne.
Argh, it really makes me think that I had the right idea when I was a kid and planned on marrying rich. =Þ Yeah, strangely enough I was pretty mercenary for an eight year old. Okay, so I don't really consider that a feasible or even good idea anymore, but you've got to admit, it would make the anime habit a whole lot easier. Actually, I would like to one day have an anime-manga library, where you could (what else) go to borrow anime DVDs and manga. I'd consider it my contribution to the anime fan community. ^_^ But to that I'd definitely need to marry rich. ^_~
Anyway, that's all of my babbling for today. Interesting, isn't it, how I started with Sakura and ended up with marrying rich? =Þ
